Mila & Pheebs create stationery and activity boxes for children. They contain a mixture of stationery, crafts, stickers, and fun items, based around a different theme each month. It’s £10 per month plus £2.99 P&P.
April was rather a washout with an awful lot of rain and grey skies, so this month’s April Showers box is very appropriate! By the time we opened it up the weather had cheered up a great deal, and this box brought bright colours to the showery theme.
The newsletter in every box is always full of jokes, trivia, and useful dates for the diary. It’s bright and cheerful, and the font is very clear for young readers.
This box is a miracle of packing!
Guess who likes to come out in the rain! Yes, frogs! This is one of the craft kits, a Frog Bean Bag Sewing Kit. These kits are great for little hands. The shapes are precut with holes for the stitches already punched in, and the needle is large and blunt so very safe to use. There are also some lovely chunky foam stickers of little pond creatures. They’re certainly happy in the rain!
More stickers here, this time a sheet of bright umbrellas and raindrops. Anyone would be cheerful in the rain with these! There is also a very generous pack of colouring pencils, decorated with raindrops. Lots and lots of different colours.
Here’s a use for all those cute pencils: colouring sheets and word games! Mila & Pheebs boxes always contain very cute pictures to colour, as well as wordsearches and crisscrosses.
Here’s another little craft kit: a flower notebook.
These are easy to put together but look very cute, and children always adore notebooks.
More use for colouring here, this time two blank greeting cards. One is completely plain, and the other has that cute embossed picture of mummy and baby ducks. These are lovely was to encourage children to make their own cards, much nicer than buying them!
This Umbrella Craft comes with a pack of lovely shiny sticky paper to cut out and stick on, and also a sheet of little gem stickers.
Little C was feeling rather Matisse-like when it came to cutting out the paper to decorate the umbrella shape. Even better, there was lots of sticky paper and gems left over to go into our craft stash. Little C has plans for making some of her own stickers!
Finally, this adorable Frog Eraser. Mila & Pheebs always include a cute collectible eraser, and as they are far too nice to use we are building up rather an impressive collection!

A Mila & Pheebs box provides a great mixture of free and guided creativity, plus there’s generally very little mess created!
The boxes are delivered monthly, fit through the mailbox, and are great to have on hand to cheer up a rainy day or as a special treat. I also think they are perfect for a bit of novelty on holiday, as they’re compact, engaging, and creative. You’ve even got some sneaky literacy practice with the word games. Wedding season is also in full swing, and I can see this being very useful for younger guests, as there is plenty to keep them occupied while the grownups are throwing back the champagne!
Mila & Pheebs boxes are technically for age six and up, but I think that they would be fine for younger children. Even if there’s some cutting out, little ones shouldn’t have a problem with this. You might need a bit more parental assistance but this is a lovely way to spend some fun and creative time together.
I wish all rainy days were as colourful as this one!
