Mila & Pheebs create stationery and activity boxes for children. They contain a mixture of stationery, crafts, stickers, and fun items, based around a different theme each month. It’s £10 per month plus £2.99 P&P.
You can’t have missed the Royal Wedding! To celebrate this lovely event, the Mila & Pheebs box for May has a fantastic Best of British theme!
Check out all the cute British symbols! Red buses, black cabs, and of course the Union Jack!
There’s a lovely newsletter every month. It includes splendid jokes and trivia, and I often learn something I didn’t know! It’s also bright and cheerful, and very clear for little readers.
Even though there’s always a ton of fun things fitted inside, the box is thin enough to go through the mailbox. No trips to the sorting office!
I love the notebook with the different coloured Union Jack flags! According to the menu it’s magnetic, but either the magnet on mine fell off or it was a misprint. It doesn’t actually matter, Little C prefers to squirrel her notebooks away! Continuing with the flag theme, there’s a pen and pencil plus some little flag stickers.
Mila & Pheebs always include blank greeting cards. I love this Union Jack pattern on the white one, plus there’s also a plain blue card, both with matching envelopes. The colouring pencils from April’s box would be great to decorate them!
I love this craft, a Dragon Suncatcher! A lovely way to add a little bit of colour to your windows, especially when the sun is shining.
A package of plasticine! This is so wonderful for creative and sensory play.
Little C adores this stuff, she got stuck in making a whole bunch of little figures and generally having fun.
This is another nice craft, making a tissue paper English rose from the tissue lining the box. You need to have glue, but seriously, there’s no way a home with a kid in it doesn’t have a Pritt Stick or some PVA lying around! Also on the top left is a Union Jack Fridge Magnet, in a cute red version.
Another regular inclusion is colouring sheets and word puzzles.
Little C had just come back from a jaunt to London with Big C, so she had a lot of fun with the London-themed colouring sheets.
She also loves wordsearches, and this was perfect as a little before-school activity. On the left you can see a maze, which was also in the box.
The last thing in the box is the miniature eraser. There’s one in every box, and they’re always gorgeous. This one is a tiny little sandwich, which of course was invented by a Brit. These little erasers are far too nice to use, so we’re building up a lovely collection!

Once again, Mila & Pheebs has turned out a lovely selection of creativity and fun.
I love the British theme, especially tying in with the Royal Wedding earlier in the month. There is always a lovely mixture of free and guided creativity, and the plasticine was especially good for imaginative inventiveness!
Including blank cards is a wonderful idea, because I think children should be encouraged to make and send their own cards rather than just buying something from a shop.
There are many ways you can utilize one of these boxes. It’s great to have stashed for a rainy day, on a long journey, to take away on holiday for an extra treat with your usual art supplies, or even to keep children amused at a wedding. The box takes up very little space so it’s portable and easy to slip into a bag.
It’s technically aimed at children age 6 and above, but I think younger children would appreciate it very much, though they might require a little more assistance with some of the activities. The word games and puzzles are a great little educational bonus.
This really is a terrific tribute to the Best of British!
