It’s always a challenge finding inexpensive but fun stocking fillers for kids. You want creative things they’ll use and enjoy, rather than some of the random plastic tat you see so much of.
So when Le Jeux Boutique contacted me to ask if I’d like to take a look at their ten most popular stocking fillers for kids, I jumped at the chance!
The approximate age rage for these gifts is around 6 – 12, but there’s plenty for all ages to enjoy.
I’ll also admit right now that there are definitely a couple of things I’ll be keeping myself. They’re not just for kids, folks.
You can also check out the lovely Mama Do It for a list of gorgeous stocking fillers and other festive goodies for ages 3 – 6.
Not only are these things great for Christmas stockings, you could pop them in your Christmas Eve box!
Let’s take a look.
Waboba LED Flyer £8
This is great for encouraging active play, especially at the time of year we all overindulge. It’s like a cross between a shuttlecock and a hacky sack and it lights up on impact! Great for working off Christmas dinner, and you can even play in the dark.
EUGY Penguin £7
This is one of a whole collection of build-it-yourself animal figures. You’ve got everything you need to put it together. The whole thing is completely eco-friendly, which is especially good if you’re been watching David Attenborough recently! These models are great for some quiet craft time keeping little hands busy in the midst of the festive madness.
Light Up Flamingo Bath Toy £6.50
This cute little bird will light up when it hits the water. Such a great pal to have in the bath. (The grownups might get a kick out of it too!)
Plasticine Snowman Modelling Kit £5.50
This little kit gives you the colours to create a snowman, though of course you could choose anything you like! As well as a stocking stuffer, this would also make a lovely table favour for your Christmas guests. There are several festive models available, and great for young and old alike.
Chocolate Pizza Slice and Hot Chocolate Stick £4
The perfect chocolaty treat, perhaps for a festive movie night. Or enjoy hot chocolate and pizza on Christmas Eve!
Kanoodle £10
I can say with total confidence that this puzzle is absolutely brilliant, because my daughter was given one last year, and she absolutely loves it! We’ve all played with it, it’s challenging and fun, and great combination of amusement and brain-boosting. Seriously, it’s amazing, everyone will be fighting to have a go.
Djeco Diamond Holographic Scratch Art Stickers £8
Children love stickers. These have the extra fun bonus of being able to scratch patterns into them, and they’re great for a little low-tech creative distraction.
STIB Mini Pencils £8 and Festive Colouring Book £2
These chunky colouring pencils are perfect for little hands, and each pencil has an inspirational message as well. Pair with a colouring book for the perfect Christmas creative combination.
Mystic 8 Ball £6
You’ll probably know how these work. You ask a question, turn it over, and an answer magically appears on the back. This one is incredible value and really good fun. My daughter always plays with these whenever she sees them in shops, so she’s going to be thrilled to finally have one of her own!
Nurchums Elf Hatching Egg £5.50
Put the egg in water and wait for it to hatch your very own Christmas Elf! A great gift for the start of the holidays, you can make the countdown to Christmas more fun as you wait for your elf to emerge.
What a great collection! I had so much fun exploring these goodies, and I know that not only my daughter but the whole family will enjoy them.
It’s very possible that I will be the only one enjoying the chocolate.
As well as stocking fillers for kids, these would be great for a Christmas Eve Box, party favours, or activities to keep little ones busy and occupied at parties. You could even use some of the smaller ones as treats in a DIY advent calendar!
Do head over to Le Jeux Boutique and check out their lovely Christmas shop. They have all these stocking fillers for kids and lots more, as well as a fantastic selection of larger but equally charming Christmas presents for kids.
Merry Christmas!
